Miami Herald: Plans for bridge and pier stalled after state questioned SIB officials on layout and design

The plans call for a fishing pier at Sunny Isles Beach Boulevard and Collins Avenue, and a pedestrian bridge that would extend North Bay Road from Northeast 172nd Street to 174th street. The plans have been in the works for two years and submitted twice but have yet to be approved for state permits.
